We started Top Solar Asia in 2020 because we were tired of watching Asian solar buyers get sold on premium and delivered commodity. Every system we deploy is engineered, documented, and supported for the full 25 years, because that's the standard we'd want if we were the buyer.

Why we exist

Solar across Asia has an uncomfortable open secret: the gap between what buyers are promised on the sales call and what actually ends up on the roof can be wide. Cheap systems die quietly in year four. "Premium" often just means a bigger margin. Warranty claims get routed to voicemail. The industry has grown fast, faster than its service standards.

Top Solar Asia was founded in 2020 as a direct response. We don't broker systems and we don't resell unvetted inventory. We design, specify, procure, and stand behind every system we supply, working with a network of certified installation partners we've vetted ourselves. That means the supplier who sells you the system is accountable for it five years later. That alignment changes what gets supplied.

What we actually do

We supply solar systems across three categories of projects — residential rooftops, commercial and industrial rooftops, and agricultural ground-mount. Different load profiles, different economics, but the same engineering standard across all three. Every project runs through the same sequence: site survey, yield modelling, system design, component specification, supply of the full bill of materials, coordination with a certified installation partner, commissioning, and ongoing monitoring.

If you're looking for a utility-scale developer, or individual components for a DIY install, or just a quote to stack next to four others you're comparing on price alone — we're probably not the right partner. If you want a supplier that'll still be picking up the phone in year 22, we are.

The engineering-first principle

  • Yield before price. We model your actual production profile before we quote anything. A cheap kit with bad orientation costs more than a right-sized system with good orientation, every time.
  • Components chosen for lifespan. Panels from tier-1 manufacturers with decade-plus bankability. Inverters sized with headroom, not margin. Cabling, connectors, and mounting rated for the climate the system will actually sit in.
  • Warranty written before signature. Product, performance, and workmanship warranties appear in the contract, in plain language, before any deposit is taken.
  • One point of contact, for the life of the system. The engineer who designs your system is the person you can reach in year six when you have a question about yield. No call centres, no ticket queues.

How we charge

Pricing is always quoted per project — there's no published rate card, because every site is different. What there is, in every quote, is a full bill of materials, a yield projection with assumptions shown, and a warranty schedule. You'll know what you're buying and why.
